  1. I’m in the process of trying this for the first time; I hope it works! I’ll come back and leave feedback/ a review once I’ve used it more. Thanks!

  2. thanks for the tutorial it works like a charm and the redirect function makes my little brother think it is a internet error

      • Let’s try this question then.
        When you click on a link that goes to the blocked website;
        1. is the link already disabled?
        2. If not, what happens?

          • Thank you for answering both my questions. Much appreciated. So it appears as if the addon redirects you to a page that outputs the html that contains the “block message”. This is a redirect, not a block. Which means that the page you are redirected can contain malicious code right?

          • Sure, there is no malicious code in that “block message” page right now. But, what about the future? As far as I know, chrome auto updates addons. So the “blocked message” page could be modified in the future right?

    • You can choose for it to redirect to a specified page if you prefer, so you could just get sent back to google or whatever,
      However, this tool is not for blocking malicious sites, this is a productivity tool, not a security one, its for stopping you wasting your time on sites that don’t do anything productive but you keep visiting. Unless you know a specific address of a ‘bad’ site then you cant block malicious sites with this, if you’re already on the site, then its probably already stolen your data or given you a virus!

  3. Great tool. I need to get de-addicted from news sites in this toxic political season, I was starting to understand how helpless addicts (of anything) feel. I downloaded, installed, blocked, checked out – everything in under 5 minutes. Great tutorial. Great tool – I already said that :).

    Thanks guys.
